U-TURN 2 TAP is a line of artist designed stainless steel water bottles that give consumers an alternative to the harms plastic has on the body and the environment.

A growing awareness about a chemical called Bisphenol-A, which is found in most plastic water bottles, has made plastic alternatives for drinkware essential. BPA is a hormone disrupting chemical that is used in the forming of polycarbonate and epoxy resins. BPA has been found to potentially cause serious harm to the human body. The U-TURN 2 TAP line of stainless steel water bottles is completely BPA free and is made from 304 grade stainless steel.
The U-TURN 2 TAP reusable water bottle line is also beneficial to the environment because it is an alternative to the 60 million plastic water bottles thrown away in the U.S. every day.  “U-Turn 2 Tap was conceptualized after we read about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is a floating mass of plastic debris measuring twice the size of Texas,” Jess Mulligan, managing partner of Conscious Containers explains. “Conscious Containers is headquartered in Laguna Beach, a place where the Pacific Ocean breeze blows though and the smell of salt water invigorates the senses. The decision to start U-Turn 2 Tap was born out of knowing that a plastic wasteland has been dumped into one of the most inspiring and simply beautiful things in our lives.”

Conscious Containers has made art a central part of their business interest: all of their products feature designs that were created by artists. The artwork is displayed on the product line, along with an informational slip about each artist.  “Artists have such a tough time getting seen; we hope our products will open up new, untouched markets to them and provide them with invaluable exposure” Jess explains. Conscious Containers selects new artists quarterly, with talent and a commitment to the environment being equally important in the jury process.
